PDF version of the Call for Papers (update 30.04.2018)

In addition to invited talks from practitioners and researchers, we welcome contributions from academic, scientific, or industrial contexts in the field of software performance, including but not limited to approaches employing Descartes, Kieker, and/or Palladio.

Scope

Submission are thought for (but not limited to) plans, ongoing work, or results on:

  • Application performance management
  • Software performance patterns and anti‐patterns
  • Thoughts and experiences on the influence of the software architecture on software performance
  • Extraction and calibration of performance models
  • Performance in virtualized environments
  • Performance in trade‐off with other quality attributes, e.g., security or reliability
  • Performance evaluations and benchmarks
  • Model‐driven approaches for instrumentation and analysis
  • Automatic approaches for performance problem detection, diagnosis, and resolution
  • Performance-related challenges in industrial software systems
  • Application of Descartes, Kieker, or Palladio in projects
  • Combined applications of Descartes, Kieker, and Palladio
  • Wish lists of tool features

Note that we explicitly welcome contributions that have already been (partially) presented at other events or in publications.

Types of Contributions

We solicit the following types of contributions:

  1. Technical papers (maximum 3 pages)
  2. Extended abstracts for industry or experience talks (maximum 700 words)

Technical papers should follow the Softwaretechnik-Trends format and need to be submitted electronically via EasyChair. Extended abstracts need to be submitted as "abstract only" submissions via EasyChair.

We encourage you to use our LaTeX template (last update 16.8.2016) for your technical paper to minimize the need for adjustment in case of acceptance of your submission. Make sure that the document uses a times/computer modern font in 10 pt and that the paper size is in A4.

At least on author of each accepted paper is required to register, attend the conference, and present the paper. Accepted Papers will appear in the GI Softwaretechnik-Trends.
